Qatar is eager to face the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday, buoyed by their recent victories in friendlies.
Qatar defeated Bulgaria 2-1 and Azerbaijan 1-0 in friendly matches last week, giving them confidence ahead of the crucial qualifier against UAE.
Qatar coach, Felix Sanchez, said his team is well-prepared for the match and is confident of getting a positive result.
"We have prepared well for this match, and we are confident of getting a positive result," Sanchez said. "We know that the UAE is a strong team, but we are confident in our abilities."
Qatar is currently in third place in Group A of the Asian qualifiers with 13 points from six matches, while UAE is in fourth place with nine points from the same number of matches.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the next round of the qualifiers, so a win for Qatar against UAE would be a major boost to their chances of reaching the FIFA World Cup.
The match will be played at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, and will kick off at 7:45 pm local time.
