The Boston Celtics extended the Detroit Pistons' historic losing streak to a record-tying 28 games with a hard-fought 128-122 overtime victory on Wednesday night.

The Celtics, who hold the best record in the NBA, found themselves down by 19 points in the third quarter. However, they rallied behind the scoring of Jaylen Brown and the playmaking of Derrick White to force overtime.

Brown finished the game with a team-high 31 points, hitting 12 of 23 shots from the field. White made history by recording his first career triple-double, contributing 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

The Pistons, who have not won since November 3, were led by Bojan Bogdanovic's 31 points. Cade Cunningham added 24 points and Jaden Ivey chipped in 21 points.

The Celtics improved their record to 32-10 with the win, while the Pistons fell to 5-37. The Pistons' losing streak is now tied for the longest in NBA history, with the Philadelphia 76ers holding the record with 28 consecutive losses during the 2015-16 season.
